Brian ‘Old Man  Of The Mountain’ Timmis (deceased) attended Ottawa’s Elgin Street School. He played local city league football and then went on to regions. He played with the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1924.  

Afterwards he then went to Hamilton where he was one of the greatest linemen and ball carriers in the game. He won three Grey Cups with the Tigers in 1928, 1929, and 1932.
