A major contributor to the development of minor hockey in the Ottawa and Gatineau area, Henry has served as coach, manager, executive and owner.

He founded the East Ottawa Voyageurs minor hockey organization in the 70s, the Eastern Ontario Junior B Hockey League championship Vanier 72s in 1974-75 and coached the Gloucester Rangers to the Central Junior Hockey League Championship in 1980-81.

Henry spent 26 years with Hull/Gatineau Olympiques, from 1985 to 2010, serving as general manager and governor.  Under his guidance, the team made the playoffs every year, winning the Memorial Cup in 1997 and garnering seven Quebec Junior League Presidents’ Cups.

Henry also chaired the organization committee for the 1997 Memorial Cup Championship and was named the 1998-’99 QMJHL Executive of the Year. Henry has a keen eye for talent and has sent many players and coaches to the NHL ranks.
