Dave McCann (deceased) was a quarterback and halfback with the Ottawa Rough Riders from 1907 until the First World War started in 1914 and then again after the war in 1919. He coached the Ottawa Rough Riders to Grey Cup wins in 1925 and 1926. Served longer than any on Canadian Rugby Union rules committee. Was Chairman in 1958. Excelled as well as a paddler, baseball player, curler, and golfer.
