David ‘Dave’ Gill

David ‘Dave’ Gill (deceased) although primarily associated with the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League (NHL), had a life-long association with amateur sport in the Capital, including paddling, rowing, and skiing. Appointed manager of Senators in 1925, managed the team to their last Stanley Cup in 1927. Played with Rough Riders, 1912-’30s. President of Riders 1954 and 1955, director until his death.
