Donald Stuart McDiarmid (deceased) gained initial recognition as a teenage tennis sensation. He won numerous city, Eastern Canadian titles in singles and doubles. Claimed Canadian men’s open singles crown in 1940. Member of Canada’s Davis Cup team vs. Mexico in 1946.

With Jean Marois, represented Canada in Pan-Am Tennis Games in Mexico City. Life member of Rideau Tennis and Squash Club.
