Edward ‘Eddie’ Kramer Emerson (deceased) earned the nickname “Evergreen” in career with Rough Riders from 1909 and lasted for 25 years as a player. Played on championship teams of ’25 and ’26. Served as president (1930, 1931, and 1947 to 1951 inclusive) and director of Riders, and was longtime executive of both the Canadian Rugby Union and Big Four. Member of Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
