Harvey Clifford (deceased) during his competitive career, included victories in the Taschereau Cup, Canadian Kandahar, and U.S. downhill competitoins. He was ranked among the finest skiers in North America. He placed 16th in the 1948 Olympics which was the best showing to that time by a Canadian. He was also the coach of Canadian 1950 FIS and 1952 Olympic ski team. Devoted much of his life to developing ski resorts and conducting ski schools in Canada, New Zealand, and U.S.
