James ‘Jim’ Conroy (deceased) played football and baseball at the University of Southern California from 1955 to 1959. He was football team co-captain in 1957 and a member of the NCAC baseball title team in 1958. Drafted by Buffalo Bills in NFL in 1959. He played with Ottawa Rough Riders in the CFL from 1960 to 1967 and with Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1968. The four-time CFL all-star linebacker was assistant coach at the University of Ottawa from 1969 to 1972. A small business owner and a resident of Ottawa. He holds a BSc from Southern California and a PEng from Carleton University.
