Only five losses in 75 amateur bouts. Amateur and pro referee. Helped in reorganization of Beaver Boxing Club in 1974. Community Building Award Recipient (2001). President of Beaver Boxing Club. Briefly trained Lennox Lewis as an amateur. Member of Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame.
