Twelve years with Ottawa Rough Riders. CFL leading passer six times. One three Grey Cup winning teams: ’60, ’68, and ’69. Three Schenley trophies as top CFL player and four Schenley trophies as best Canadian. Three times All-Canadian and six times Eastern All-Star. Twice won Jeff Russel Trophy and Canada’s top male athlete.

Member of Canadian Football Hall of Fame. He was inducted into Canada’s Sport Hall of Fame in 1975.
