Andy Tommy during his early years as an all around athlete excelling in rugby, basketball, baseball and track and field.

During his career he spend thirteen years in Big Four, including 11 with Ottawa Rough Riders. Won two Grey Cups in five appearances. Winner Jeff Russel Trophy 1940. Canadian All-Star team several times at both Flying Wing and Running Back. Returned fumbled ball 123 yards for TD at a time when official statistics were not kept.

He was inducted into Canada’s Sport Hall of Fame in 1976.
