Frank James Clair (deceased) played with the All Big-Ten Ohio State in 1938. He played end with the Washington Redskins. He was coach of the Toronto Argonauts from 1950-54 and won the Grey Cup in 1950 and 1952. He coached the Ottawa Rough Riders from 1956 to 1969 and thereafter as General Manager. He won the Grey Cup in 1960, 1968, 1969, 1973 and in 1976. He was twice named Coach of the Year in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He won 174 games in 19 seasons. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
