<p class=”MsoNormal”><span lang=”EN-US”>Born in Montreal in 1963, the Galley family moved to Ottawa when Garry was 13; </span><span lang=”EN-US”>he played his minor hockey locally with the Pinecrest Selects ,Ottawa 79&rsquo;s and the CJHL Gloucester Rangers. Playing for Bowling Green State University from 1981 to &rsquo;84,Galley set defenceman scoring records and was named MVP and selected as an All-Star several times. The Falcons were NCAA Champions in 1984.</span><span lang=”EN-US”> <b><span>&nbsp;</span></b></span><span lang=”EN-US”>His NHL career lasted from 1984 to 2001; Galley played for the Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders. In 1149 games, he accumulated 599 points, including 125 goals. Galley&rsquo;s NHL playoff statistics include 89 games, 7 goals and 30 points. Galley played in two NHL All-Star games (&rsquo;91 and &rsquo;94) and for Canada at the World Championships in &rsquo;93 and&rsquo;96. In retirement, he remains involved in minor hockey in Ottawa and is a broadcaster for NHL games on radio and TV. <o p=””></o></span></p>
