John ‘Jake’ Gerard Dunlap (deceased) gained an early reputation as a hard-nosed lineman with Rough Riders, Argos, and Tiger-Cats in a CFL career which spanned 12 seasons. Also played hockey with the Ottawa Senators. His gift of gab led to football colour commentating on radio. He also served as a Rough Riders director, as well as co-owner from 1973-80 and team’s GM from 1978-82.
