Melville ‘Mel’ Rogers (deceased) was for 60 years associated with the Minto Skating Club. Founded Minto Follies. Served as president of CFSA two terms; chaired international judges committee 15 years. Five times Canadian and twice NA singles figure skating champion.

Member of Canadian and four NA fours title teams. Member of 1924 Olympic team; recipient of International skating union gold medal. President of the Canadian Sports Advisory Council for 15 years. Member Canadian Figure Skating Hall of Fame (1990).
