Robert Bruce Hamilton (deceased) was the founder and first head coach of the Ottawa Sooners, president of the Ontario Junior Football Association, director of the Canadian Amateur Football Association, Pinecrest Little League president, founder of the Pinecrest Big League, and Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame chairman. He was co-founder and first president of the Ottawa-Nepean Canadians Sports Club.
