COVID-19 Update from the Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame

Posted: March 24, 2020

Dear Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame supporters,

As  the COVID-19 pandemic continues to play out in our community, the Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame Board of Directors  has decided to postpone its May 13th induction ceremony until the fall. Like you, we are disappointed by this turn of events, however based on the recommendations of Ottawa Public Health, we know it is in the best interest of our community.

We are presently working to finalize a new date for the fall of 2020. In the meantime, we have paused ticket sales as of noon today. We ask for your patience as we work through this process, and we will communicate the new date as soon as it’s confirmed, at which time you can decide to attend the rescheduled event, or receive a full refund for your ticket purchase.

Please note, under the directive of Ottawa Public Health and the Ontario government, the Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame located in the Heritage building of Ottawa City Hall has temporarily closed its doors to the public. Please follow @OttawaSportHoF on Twitter and Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame on Facebook for updates and re-opening announcements. Thanks for your understanding. We have plans for a truly stellar Induction Ceremony in our new venue, and look forward to seeing you all then. Until then, please be safe, and we wish you and your loved ones good health.

Dave Best
Chair, Board of Directors
